Abstract

The article examines the issue of the unity of the state as the basis for the formation of state ethics, presented in the study of the German political theorist Carl Schmitt. Unity can serve as the basis not only for the ethical aspect of interaction between the state and society, but also as an effective tool aimed at ensuring the sovereignty and legality of power.
