Abstract

The article raises the issue of preserving the national sovereignty of the modern state in the context of the development of modern democracy. Globalization has a great impact not only on socio-economic and cultural ties between countries, but also on political processes taking place within states. However, such practices cannot be assessed on the positive side in order to protect national interests and preserve states' identity.
