Abstract

The article deals with F.R. Ankersmit’s linguistic narrativistic philosophy. It is pointed out that the historical narrative is a representation of the past that creates meaning, in other words, a return to the world an object that is absent in the present. Addressing the problem of the relationship between narrative and metaphor, F.R. Ankersmit notes that metaphorical statements accumulate the properties of narrative substances.
