Abstract

The elements of political culture (the value-motivational component of political participation, the content of political expectations, attitudes, value orientations) of male deputies under the age of 30 who were elected to Russian regional parliaments in the period 2016–2021 are analyzed («VKontakte», Facebook, Instagram, etc.), the source base of the study were network resources – personal accounts of parliamentarians in social networks. The authors of the publication come to the conclusion that the motives of political participation of young men in the activities of regional parliaments are conscious, and their value orientations depend on party affiliation. As a key setting of the political behavior of young deputies, the authors highlight the desire to achieve victory, common non–party values – patriotism, understanding of the great historical past of the Russian state.
