Abstract

The article analyzes the concept of «leadership style» from the point of view of its psychological content. The general characteristics of the management style as an object of study of organizational psychology are given, its basic psychological components are considered. The classical typology of leadership styles by K. Lewin and the dominant approach in modern organizational psychology to the classification of management styles by R. Blake and J. Mouton are presented and analyzed. The importance of combining methods and techniques from various leadership styles described by the authors in the management activities of a modern head of an organization is emphasized.
