The article emphasizes the importance of training personnel in the field of "Land management and cadastres", ensuring successful economic regional development. It is proved that the development of market relations and, as a result, the policy of the state, its constituent entities, organizations of all sectors of the national economy and organizational and legal forms, as well as the activities of individuals are aimed at achieving maximum economic, environmental and social effects, including from the ownership, use and disposal of real estate, which it is impossible without high-quality land management and proper cadastre management. The reasons for the creation of the Department of Geodesy and Cadastre at Tver State Technical University are outlined, its educational and scientific activities, ongoing work with students and other subjects interested in its activities are consecrated. It is proved that the training of personnel in the field of "Land management and cadastres" is aimed at providing the region with appropriate productive forces and contributes to improving the effectiveness of the use of real estate and streamlining its civil turnover. It is proved that the success of the interaction of all parties interested in training qualified personnel with higher education lies in the real intersectoral integration of educational institutions and their departments with manufacturing enterprises and public authorities and local governments as employers of future graduates. The trends in the development of education in the field of land management and cadastre are demonstrated.
