The article considers the key features of technogenic civilization, consisting in the cardinal transformation of technologies and the speed of their introduction, accompanied by the emergence of both opportunities and challenges of the new social reality, such as risks, potential dangers, complexity and uncertainty. It is noted that this leads to the dependence of society on the latest technologies, as well as to changes in the worldview of man. Special attention is paid to the fact that the causes of challenges lie in rationalism, which is value-unchecked and out of control of the multifunctional basis of rationality (the world of human values) – Wertswelt. It is concluded that it is necessary to find solutions to meet the challenges of modern reality and emphasizes that their symptoms and areas of manifestation are becoming an important area of study.
