Abstract

The article examines the problem of occupational stress and its negative impact on the mental health of the teaching staff of higher educational institutions. Such basic concepts as occupational stress, professional burnout syndrome, emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduction of personal achievements are disclosed. The stress level and the main manifestations of professional burnout among the teaching staff of Tver State Technical University have been studied.
