The article analyzes the functions of the state that it implements in the process of preserving and strengthening traditional Russian spiritual and moral values. The values identified in 2022 and enshrined in the foundations of state policy have become a logical and appropriate response to the threats and challenges faced by the Russian Federation in the current conditions of implementing its sovereign foreign and domestic policy. The functions under consideration are aimed at both strengthening the institution of the state and improving social development. It was noted that the traditional values being broadcast will help shape the moral guidelines for future generations, which will not only ensure continuity but also ensure the sustainable development of Russian society in the long term.
