Abstract

This article examines the relevance of studying personnel's professional identity, which can serve as a tool for influencing the development and growth of employees' adaptive potential. A brief theoretical analysis of the conceptual approach of contemporary research on this phenomenon is provided. Attention is focused on how professional identity is integrated into the structure of an individual's professional self-concept and facilitates personnel's adaptation to new technologies and professional demands. It is also emphasized that professional identity is the key to success and professional fulfillment in a changing labor market.
