Abstract

The article focuses on the issue of suicidality in the context of total alienation as an ontological phenomenon in a digital society. The analysis of the causes reveals that total alienation, which is caused by the processes of digitalization and the dehumanization of social relations, leads to an existential vacuum where individuals lose their anthropological integrity. The article also highlights the social context in which alienation in online communities exacerbates the ontological emptiness, transforming suicidality into a form of radical protest. It is concluded that suicidality is not a pathology, but a symptom of a crisis in social ontology. Identifying risks and challenges will allow for the development of effective approaches to transforming social relations through communicative practices.
