Abstract

Many author's studies have shown that the economic security of enterprises supplying peat for export is significantly higher than that of those producers who focus only on the Russian market. The purpose of the article is to assess the peculiarities of the interpretation of the quality of peat products in Russia and Europe, as well as differences in the methods and methods of assessing the quality of peat and peat products. It is noted that an urgent problem in the sustainable development of the peat sector of the mining industry is the issues of assessing the quality of peat as a raw material for the production of peat products and the quality of finished products based on peat. It is indicated that the strategy of expanding the peat products market and promoting the Russian peat brand abroad is one of the main mechanisms for the development of the peat industry in the Russian Federation. It is emphasized that for the use of such a strategy, a necessary (and in some cases difficult to overcome) condition is to assess the quality of peat products from the positions of European and Russian consumers. The results of the study are presented, the methodological tools of which include the provisions of GOST standards, technical specifications and national quality standards in Russia and abroad, methods of processing statistical data and data of peat enterprises.
