Abstract

The world trends of rational use of associated petroleum gas are considered. It is shown that at the moment the problems of its utilization have been actualized in connection with the policy aimed at reducing flaring, rational use of natural resources, the development of related sectors of the economy and the formation of a green economy in European countries. It was noted that the initiators of these changes at the international level are the United Nations and the World Bank. It is emphasized that national governments are developing their own approaches to solving this problem. It is concluded that the successful experience of the USA, Canada, Norway, Saudi Arabia can be used in modeling the process in other oil-producing countries, including Russia.
