Abstract

Social adaptation as a component of the socio-psychological health of students with disabilities actualizes our empirical research, which becomes even more important when considering the issue of professional self-determination in the focus of the formation of professional medical identity in distance learning. The study was conducted on the basis of the Center for Psychological Support of Tver State Medical University (TvSMU) during the period of mixed forms of distance learning. The sample was made up of students with limited features of 1–6 courses of TvSMU. The results show that students with disabilities demonstrate high engagement in the educational process and at the same time integration into the future profession (along with openness, interest, goodwill and willingness to communicate), which together allows us to draw conclusions about the satisfactory sociopsychological health of students and a high level of involvement and awareness in choosing a profession.
