Abstract

The article analyzes the specifics of the official activities of law enforcement officers. Professional psychological selection is considered as a way to diagnose the degree of suitability of a candidate to perform official duties. Special attention is paid to cognitive abilities as fundamental qualities that affect the success of an employee in professional activity.
