The article actualizes the value of studying the features of the formation of the emotional sphere in childhood. Numerous studies show that in childhood, emotions that are not fully «matured» are observed, which are the regulator of activity, so their unformedness can lead to various consequences. The features of the development of emotions in childhood are considered. At the same time, as part of the study of the correctional impact, the influence of the color palette on the severity of the emotional sphere of the individual is emphasized. Based on the analysis of the use of color game training as a tool for implementing a corrective impact on the emotional sphere, its importance in the formation of psycho-emotional stability in preschoolers is emphasized. Color game training is aimed at improving the ways of regulating one's own emotions and feelings. At the same time, the focus of color game training is on the formation of children's control over their behavior, as well as the skills of constructive interaction with society in case of negative emotions.
