Abstract

The article considers the image of China in the context of world philosophy and shows its reflection by means of author's imagery in song sketches by Vladimir Vysotsky. The proportionality of transmission of author's imagery in some analogs of poems in English is compared. It is pointed out that the subsequent results of lexico-semantic and comparative analysis of figurative means of V. Vysotsky's Chinese cycle revealed the actualization of the problems of irony reception and the dominance of author's occasionalisms with ironic connotation on the basis of cliched Sovietisms of the last century.
