The results of a survey of students of a new generation, namely generation Z, are presented in order to determine how and what modern technologies they use in terms of educational interaction in a foreign language educational space for training a technical specialist in teaching English to a specialty. The prospects of using these technologies and the preferences of university teachers have been studied. Some difficult realities and problems that teachers face when teaching Generation Z students a foreign language are revealed. Based on the results of the study, some solutions are proposed that will help to eliminate gaps that arise in students during the development of the discipline, and ways to improve teaching and learning strategies in a higher educational institution.
