Abstract

The interests of students of a technical university from the perspective of their personal and semantic reflection, an essay by second-year students of Tver state technical university on the topic «My interests here and now» are considered. It is revealed that the reflexive approach is important for two reasons: firstly, it gives students the opportunity to analyze themselves and rationally assess their aspirations and needs, and secondly, it helps the teacher to personalize the learning process of philosophy. It is concluded that familiarization with interests leads to a number of judgments. The following are indicated as positive aspects: the authors of the essay indicate that interest as an active concentration of a person on attractive activities is reproduced in the traditions of family and interpersonal communications; respondents understand the flexibility and dynamics of their interests; the vast majority notes the interrelation of interests, the level of self-awareness and professional choice. A negative aspect is the poor development of critical thinking in a number of students who find themselves unable to formulate adequate judgments about their interests.
