Abstract

The results of the 2023 study «Amateur sports as a factor of socialization of Tver residents» are presented. The proportion of people for whom sport is an agent of socialization is revealed; the impact of amateur sports on the socialization of personality in different periods of human life is estimated. The negative and positive sides of amateur sports are indicated. The main reasons hindering, in the opinion of respondents, socialization through amateur sports are named. The measures that will contribute to the formation of amateur sports as a full-fledged agent of socialization in Russia are listed.
