. The possibility of using traditional Russian spiritual and moral values, defined by Presidential Decree No. 809 of November 9, 2022, as a tool to facilitate the process of socio-cultural adaptation of foreign students, is considered. It is concluded that the values that are the key moral guidelines for a multinational, multicultural state can become the basis for establishing effective social communication, forming social ties, and successfully completing the educational process for citizens who came to the Russian Federation for the purpose of education. It is noted that the promotion of values through the domestic educational system, their positioning as an element of state policy, make it possible to create a positive image of the Russian Federation, namely, to present it as a defender and guardian of traditional universal spiritual and moral values.
