The article discusses the importance of the Tver region's land resource potential for economic development; the functionality of management activities in relation to regional land resources based on the analysis of the state and use of land; the main negative processes affecting the land resource potential are identified and the main direction of the development of the land management system aimed at the development of information support to improve the efficiency and rationality of the use of land resources in the socio-economic life of the region is substantiated
