Abstract

The article discusses the features of professional development of a person. A theoretical review is conducted in order to identify the psychological determinants of the category under study. The results of the analysis of scientific papers in the framework of labor psychology devoted to the dynamics of interests in the phenomenon under consideration over the past twenty years are presented. An attempt is made to concretize the content of the terms «personal development», «professional formation» and «professionalization». A brief enumeration of the methodological basis necessary for the further organization of experimental research is given.
