Abstract

The results of the study of the psychological structure and features of professional motivation, which is a condition for the effectiveness of the work of higher education teachers, are presented. It is indicated that the psychodiagnostic research methods were a questionnaire of the psychological orientation of B. Bass's personality, an integral method of identifying motivation for success and avoiding failures of T. Ehlers, a method of socio-psychological attitudes of personality in the motivational-need sphere of O.F. Potemkina. It was concluded that the respondents (teachers of a technical university) are dominated by a motivational focus on business in their professional activities and a high level of formation of communication potential.
