ON PAIN, EMPATHY AND COMMUNICATIVE BALANCE IN «DOCTOR – PATIENT» RELATIONSHIPS
Authors: E.A. Evstifeeva
Abstract: In the context of philosophical discourse on pain, this article examines its ontological status as a real experience of anthropological existence. The author explains the problem of reducing pain to an object and discusses the objectification of pain in medical discourse, which leads to doctors distancing themselves from patients and depriving them of empathy as an attribute of doctor – patient communication. Pain is subjective and existentially experienced. It is argued that pain is a combination of physical, psychological and sociocultural factors, and that social behaviour is encoded in it. It is verbalised as the patient's narrative about their suffering. Based on social ontology, it is shown that pain, being a sign of power, is used as an instrument of punishment, since torture is the highest form of inflicting pain. In today's world of medicalisation, pain is sublimated through radical anaesthesia and narratives, which is a departure from the natural experience of pain as an evolutionary attribution. From an ontobiological perspective, empathy appears to be a sublimation of pain, a way of overcoming it. The biological discourse on empathy as the sublimation of pain recognises the biological basis of empathy as a behavioural act and highlights the problem of finding and establishing a boundary between prosocial actions to provide empathetic help and distancing oneself from another's pain. Biological science predicates the internal perception of another's state as emotional and cognitive resonance. To create communicative balance in the "doctor – patient" relationship and to prevent burnout in the medical profession, the doctor's imperative and maxims are oriented towards choosing between the intersecting processes of objectification and subjectification of the patient's pain and illness, towards accepting the illness as illness.
Keywords: philosophical discourse on pain, objectification and subjectivity of pain, empathy as sublimation of pain, biological science of empathy, communicative balance in «doctor – patient» relationships.

SUICIDALITY IN CONDITIONS OF TOTAL ESTRANGEMENT
PART 1. ONTOLOGY OF ESTRANGEMENT AND EXISTENTIAL CRISIS
Authors: L.V. Udalova
Abstract: The article is devoted to the analysis of the problem of suicidality as an existential phenomenon rooted in the conditions of total social alienation in modern society. The analysis of the causal determinants of suicidal behavior indicates that traditional psychological and biomedical reductionist models are insufficient to understand this phenomenon without considering the structural characteristics of social existence and the ontological parameters of human existence and its existential constants. Special attention is paid to the transformation of social alienation into an existential vacuum, which provokes the loss of ontological meaning and the rift between human existence and essence. Identifying the risks associated with the totalization of alienation in social formations will allow for the development of effective approaches to the prevention of suicidal behavior that take into account the ontological status of alienation as a constitutive feature of sociality.

THE EVOLUTION AND PARADOXES OF LINE SPACING:
FROM TYPEWRITERS TO THE DIGITAL AGE
Authors: S.N. Gamayunov
Abstract: The article investigates the lack of a unified formatting standard for academic papers in Russia, highlighting that current university guidelines often rely on the outdated GOST 7.32-2001. It reveals the paradox of the «one and a half» line spacing requirement in modern word processors, tracing its origins to the technical limitations of 1980s typewriters (GOST 7.32-81). An analysis of the discrepancy between the historical and contemporary values of this parameter is presented. The negative economic and environmental consequences of excessive paper consumption (up to 22 %) and reduced text readability due to suboptimal line spacing are substantiated with research in ergonomics and cognitive psychology. A scientifically grounded solution is proposed: using a 1,25 line spacing factor for 14 pt Times New Roman font, which ensures historical continuity and an optimal reading distance (6.16 mm). Recommendations are provided for regulatory bodies to revise standards, aiming to enhance the efficiency of scientific communication and promote sustainable development.

THE SECURITY OF THE DIGITAL RUBLE:
OVERVIEW OF RISKS AND PROTECTION MEASURES
Authors: V.A. Nikolskaya, G.V. Koshkina,
K.E. Nikitina-Koshkina
Abstract: This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the security of the digital ruble (DR), covering its legal, technological, cyber, social, and economic dimensions. It examines the legal framework based on Federal Laws No. 152-FZ and No. 340-FZ, the technical security architecture employing domestically developed software, cryptographic solutions, and specialized modules, as well as key threats ranging from phishing and fraud to systemic risks associated with centralization and potential state intervention. Particular attention is given to anti-fraud mechanisms – including triple-factor authentication and guarantees for loss compensation – as well as to the critically important social component: public trust, which remains low due to misinformation and concerns about financial surveillance. The paper also analyzes the economic implications of the DR for the banking sector and its potential role as an instrument of financial sovereignty under international sanctions. The study concludes that the sustainable and successful adoption of the digital ruble is feasible only if a balance is achieved among technological reliability, legal transparency, economic stability, and public trust.
Keywords: digital ruble, security, legal regulation, financial sovereignty, cybersecurity, anti-fraud mechanisms, social vulnerabilities.
